2010 Lexus SC 430

The Lexus SC430 luxury convertible is entering the 2010 model year with more standard technologies. It is now on sale at a price of $67,505. The SC’s sleek style is enhanced by a low-profile front grille surrounded by chrome. The aggressive front bumper, projector-lens headlamps and stylish rear combination LED taillamps add to its fluid design. It comes equipped with iPod/USB Connectivity, Streaming Audio, Lexus Navigation System and Mark Levinson Premium Audio System. The 2010 Lexus SC430 features an all-aluminum construction, and is powered by a 4.3-liter engine that produces 288 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in a remarkable 5.8 seconds. The engine is mated to a six-speed Sequential-Shift automatic transmission. The sequential-shifting capability enhances performance by allowing the driver to nudge the gearshift forward or backward. It works in conjunction with the Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i), which compensates for uphills, downhills and headwinds, even adapting shift-timing to the driver’s acceleration habits. Lexus IS Convertible 2010

In this post we are talking about Lexus IS Convertible 2010

Lexus IS Convertible 2010

The IS C is leather-equipped at base with a full palette of exterior and interior hues, wood or aluminized plastic trim, an optional two-tone blue-and-beige interior scheme (we’ve dubbed it the “Nautica edition”), and an optional wind blocker. There’s also a line of F-Sport performance accessories including forged 19-inch wheels, a cold-air intake, a cat-back exhaust, a short-throw shifter for the six-speed manual, lowered springs and shocks, and a “track day” brake package that uses the six-piston calipers and cross-drilled rotors from the Lexus IS F. In most other respects, the IS convertible varies not a nanometer from the established Lexus path. Although every exterior panel and molding on the IS C is unique to the convertible (except the hood), it looks to untrained eyes like a sedan that has met a hacksaw. The engine choices—a 204-hp, 2.5-liter V-6 and a 306-hp, 3.5-liter V-6—are identical to the IS sedan’s. So are the transmission choices, which mean a six-speed manual is available in the IS250C and a six-speed automatic in both models. As expected, the IS convertible features Lexus fit and finish and, somewhat less appealingly, Lexus dynamics.Read more: Lexus IS Convertible 2010

Lexus LF-A Roadster Concept 2008

By continuing with the LF-A series, we can only hope that this means Lexus is still planning on making a production version. The only thing left to choose would be if you’d rather have the coupe or the roadster. Viewing the beautiful live shots in the gallery below might just help you make up your mind. You can also follow the jump to view the official press release. The LF-A Roadster is based on the sturdy yet lightweight carbon-fiber and aluminum body used for the LF-A coupe, which helps maintain the structure’s strength and rigidity even without a top. Like its coupe counterpart, the LF-A Roadster is powered by a high-revving V10 engine that approaches 5.0 liters in displacement. The V10, capable of more than 500 horsepower and test-track speeds greater than 200 mph, is mounted in front of the passenger compartment but behind the front-axle centerline in what the LF-A’s engineers refer to as a "front-mid" configuration. The Lexus LF line is a series of concept cars built by the Lexus division of Toyota Motor Corporation. The "LF" stands for L-Finesse, a new design direction by Lexus. The Lexus LF-C is a concept car Lexus unveiled at the 2004 New York Auto Show. The LF-C is fitted with a V8 engine. Rumors persist that that LF-C hints at the general design direction for the next-generation Lexus SC. It may, however, hint at a future convertable version of the IS250/350. 2002 Lexus SC 430

Toyota’s luxury division turns out its first convertible for 2002 — a 2+2 coupe with a retractable steel roof rather than a fabric top. Launched in March 2001, the SC 430 is a successor to the SC 300/400 coupes that sat in the Lexus lineup through the 1990s, capturing fewer and fewer sales as the 21st century dawned. Quietness was a foremost goal, whether the top is up or down. For that reason, the SC 430 was designed from the start as a convertible, and no fixed-roof coupe is available. Lexus promotes the SC 430 for its blend of “scintillating sport and style.” According to Danny Clements, Lexus Group vice president and general manager, “it screams luxury, and it screams performance.” Read more: 2002 Lexus SC430

The Lexus SC series is a personal luxury coupé manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation under the Lexus brand and sold in Japan as the Toyota Soarer. The first generation, available as the SC 300 or SC 400 was in production from 1991 until July 7, 2000. A second-generation model, the SC 430, went into production in 2001. Lexus showcased its new sports convertible, the SC 430, at the Paris Motorshow in 2000, and the car entered production the following year. Power was provided by a 4.3 L 3UZ-FE V8 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. This produces 0-60 runs around 6 seconds using the same engine found in the Lexus LS.
